Message from the General Manager of Amhara Pipe Factory
Amhara Pipe Factory (APF) Private Limited Company was established jointly by Amhara Water Works Construction Enterprise (governmental development company) and Golden Trade Company (a foreign Company) in May, 2010.
The APF has one of the largest plastic factories in the country and equipped with trained professionals and more advanced machineries. Our factory which is producing and supplying a wide range of U-PVC and HDPE pipes; geomembrane and greenhouse sheets as well as common purpose plastics producing based on international standard and customers need.
Apart from its considerable contribution in sustaining the economic growth of the country, our factory is also striving hard for import substitution. Particularly, plastic pipes and sheet products that were once imported from abroad are being substituted with local products. The factory is working to increase the production sector through supplying pipe and plastic products necessary to utilize potential water resources such as building dams, urban drinking water supply, irrigation, agriculture, flower, vegetable and fruit production, building construction and other general developmental activities in the country and regional countries. It is also serving as a center of practicum, research for educational and research institutions in the country.
Overall, our factory will continue to use improved technologies for the expansion of various pipe and plastic productions, and thereby, meet the local demand in the plastic sector. We are also committed to establishing international market links for our products and making substantial contribution for the economic growth of our country.
